What problem are you trying to solve?
Missionward offers grant research, grant writing, and ongoing grant partnership services for churches, nonprofits, and ministries. I also offer marketing and outreach support, since getting funded and getting your mission in front of the right people often go hand in hand.
No. I work on a flat-fee basis, never a percentage of funds raised. Taking a cut of grant awards isn’t standard practice among ethical grant professionals, and it can create pressure to chase funding that isn’t the right fit for your mission. You’ll always know exactly what you’re paying, regardless of the outcome.
I work primarily with churches, faith-based nonprofits, and ministries, especially organizations doing hands-on community work like food pantries, housing assistance, and outreach programs. My background is in ministry, so I understand the day-to-day realities of running one of these organizations, not just the grant-writing side of it.
I’m certified through Purdue University’s grant-writing program and have been mentored by a career grant writer to sharpen the craft. I also bring 25 years of ministry experience to the table, so I understand how churches and nonprofits actually operate, not just how to write a compelling proposal.
It varies by funder. Some foundations respond in a matter of weeks, while others review on a quarterly or annual cycle, so timelines can run anywhere from a few weeks to several months. Part of my job upfront is researching each funder’s timeline so you know what to expect and can plan accordingly.
Start with a free consultation. We’ll talk through your organization, what you’re trying to fund, and where you currently stand, and I’ll let you know honestly whether I think I can help. From there, we’ll map out next steps together, whether that’s a single grant, ongoing research, or an ongoing partnership.
Both. Grant funding and getting your mission in front of the right people tend to go together, so alongside grant research and writing, I also offer marketing and outreach support to help your organization build the visibility that makes future funding conversations easier.
