No. I work on a flat-fee basis, never a percentage of funds raised. Taking a cut of grant awards isn’t standard practice among ethical grant professionals, and it can create pressure to chase funding that isn’t the right fit for your mission. You’ll always know exactly what you’re paying, regardless of the outcome.

I work primarily with churches, faith-based nonprofits, and ministries, especially organizations doing hands-on community work like food pantries, housing assistance, and outreach programs. My background is in ministry, so I understand the day-to-day realities of running one of these organizations, not just the grant-writing side of it.

I’m certified through Purdue University’s grant-writing program and have been mentored by a career grant writer to sharpen the craft. I also bring 25 years of ministry experience to the table, so I understand how churches and nonprofits actually operate, not just how to write a compelling proposal.

It varies by funder. Some foundations respond in a matter of weeks, while others review on a quarterly or annual cycle, so timelines can run anywhere from a few weeks to several months. Part of my job upfront is researching each funder’s timeline so you know what to expect and can plan accordingly.
